This land is not empty, it’s full of life.LAMIEN is an intimate four-minute puppet show set in the Chilean South, about one Mapuche woman’s battle for her land. This love letter to environmentalists and land rights activists across the world is created by Roberto Caceres of Box Chicken Theatre, a Sydney-based lambe lambe production company.
In the tradition of Lambe Lambes past (a puppetry format originating in Bahia, Brazil) the work is a one-on-one experience between audience and puppeteer, with the show created and performed in a purpose-built box, complete with lights and sound, and watched through a hole in the timber.
